The Kenai Peninsula Foundation, an affiliate of the Alaska Community Foundation formally established a donor advised non-endowed fund to assist in the mitigation of homelessness in the Central Peninsula.
President of the Kenai Peninsula Foundation (KPF), Tim Navarre, shared that KPF had been contacted by a generous anonymous donor who is establishing donor advised non-endowed fund to support housing and homelessness solutions in the Central Kenai Peninsula region.
It is the hope of the KPF Board members that KPF can become a sustainable funding partner in the community to support the acquisition of a permanent homeless shelter. “Should a sustainable permanent facility providing shelter and services to address these needs come to fruition in the Central Kenai Peninsula through a reputable organization, this fund should be committed in its entirety to the effort,” added Navarre.
